Returning to SPWAW after many years

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Returning to SPWAW after many years

Post by cantona2 »

As the title suggests I'm returning to SPWAW after a fair number of years. Last time i played seriously was when the Lost Vicotries Campaign was released.

The years have moved on and so has technology. I have my original download of SPWAW, downloaded in the dark years of dial up! and thats about it as LV is currently 'whereabouts unknown'.

A few questions though

1) Will SPWAW run under Vista?
2) Does the depot still exist?
3) I remember many graphic packs with loads of cool different unit models and such. Which ones are the current best ones on offer?

Thanks for your time and responses

I have Vista and it runs just fine. You may have to make a new shortcut from the exe. file and then give it the permission to run as an administrator program...but after I did that it has never suffered an issue.

The Depot is still there...head on over and take a look what is new since you last played.

And finally go with the latest version of the Enhanced Mod...IMO it rocks.

PS...Welcome back! [;)]
