The main issue was not XP support, it was Vista and future OS support. The entire series did not function properly on Vista at all, ranging from outright compatibility issues to bizarre calculation bugs. Add to that the number of bugs fixed and improvements made over the original release, and the new package is IMHO well worth the money and a bargain at the price for those who enjoy CS.
