HnM3 3D model up close

The Seven Years’ War was fought across the globe and called by some the first “World War” as virtually every major power participated. In the center of events was Prussia, almost constantly at war and lead by the now legendary Frederick the Great.

Relive the exciting and trying days of Frederick the Great in Horse and Musket: Volume I, the improved and expanded combination of the previous Prussian War Machine and Prussia’s Glory titles. Horse and Musket: Volume I is a reboot of the successful Horse and Musket series, including not only two solid historical titles in one package, but also many new game features, a powerful new editor, and a complete graphics overhaul to an already acclaimed gaming system.

Looks nice.
Although the hair doesn't seem to work quite right when seen from the side...
Any chance of a couple of screenshots more?
Perhaps a small AAR... [:)]

Thanks, nah the hair is just exagerated a bit due to these actual 3D models being so small in the game. They are rendered as 2D sprites in the game.

I`m curious, since the end result is supposed to be a 2D sprite, was it debated to just paint the 2D sprite straight off the bat.

I made 3D models instead and rendered them as sprites. This way all lighting and shadows is correct for all angles and I don´t have to draw every single frame of animation :)

Alright, if it`s going to be animated, then that explains it pretty well.  But now you got me curious on some other things.  What modeler was used, and do you have any wireframes to show... haha!

Yes sure, I have wireframes. I use 3D Studio Max 5.1 and Photoshop 7 for textures. I can post more pics of other 3D models for those that are already in the HnM3 game that is to be released.
