Looks a bit too graceful for a tug. Maybe a misweeper. It might be wooden hulled.

I thought it might be John Wayne's Wild Goose before conversion but the stern looks wrong.

I'm gonna guess minesweeper. Looks too brand new and wooden to be a tug.

No minesweeping gear installed, so I'll say a tug too... Buggered if I know which one...

There seems to be a gun mounted on the foredeck, so I doubt it's a tug.
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?

That thing just looks to nice and tidy to be a tug. I mean, aren't tugs supposed to be all beat up, scratched off paint, dirty, oil-spotted, looking little things? Don't they come out of the factory that way?

It is a Tug, one of the so called " Indian " named  ones ( all of the Navajo class Fleet Tugs had Indian names ). I found a picture of one named Seminole that sure looks like the one above.

It's a fleet tug - which means some commodore somewhere in charge of a servron will ream out some young Lt (probably in his first command) about the ship not looking like it's in the U.S. Navy unless it looks something like that. Even then, the commo will find something to gig the ship for.
