That's a German Ferdinand.

Wasn't this also called the Elefant? That just looked too new and in too good of shape to be one of the German AFV's. That's as good a find as the JagdTiger is.

THis is indeed an Elefant.
Mostly its the same tank but the Ferdinand was the first version without any MG. As we see a frontal Driver MG, its an Elefant.

Terminus, you're wrong. The Ferdinand was first, then the Elefant...

They still have the twin 88's, but I didn't get a picture as I was getting low on photostick memory...might find it in the background of some of the shots tho. They still have the MK III open. It looks like I have to buy a photo editing program, as the one provided by microsoft only provides for cropping and I have to crop off too much of the picture. I need to resize them to get them under the 200k limit. More after a shopping trip.

I think the PzKw35's paint scheme is a desert variation, possibly from Afrika Corps or Southern Russian operations.  I've seen other tanks using that scheme and Rommel had a few PzKw35's early on in Africa.

That's a nice photo of a 128 mm FLAKZWILLING 40 twin mount on a transport platform carried on a "Culemeyer Roller" heavy load road trailer. This was strictly for emergency transportation only, as those guns were only used permanently mounted on flak towers and usually transported disassembled on special two-axle road trailers. This mount weighed 27 tons and fired fixed ammo, unusual for a gun of that caliber at the time. The round weighed 47.7 kg, 105 lbs, and the HE shell 26 kg, 57 lbs. Max altitude 14,800 m, 48,500 ft, max range 20,900 m, 22,860 yds.

The "Culemeyer Rollers" were the standard heavy load trailers at the time; they were originally developed to convey railroad freight cars between the railroad and customers without rail access and used in that manner until the 1990s, when German Rail discontinued this service. They had solid rubber tires and could be coupled in multiple to carry larger/heavier loads. They were used, for instance, to carry Type II subs and S-Boats over land from the Elbe to the Danube on their way to the Black Sea.

The gun on the right is a 88 mm Flak 41 on its Type 202 trailer. This had roughly the same kind of range as the 128 mm gun and fired the same ammo as the King Tiger or the Jagdpanther.
