well. spriors got a foothold on Java, and of course theres no way hell be driven back. just a matter of time before he crushes resistance, though he may be slowed a bit at batavia

hes finally advancing on Mandalay now. theres about 35000 troops dug in behind level 6 forts, nearly level 7. well see what happens. over 250 aircraft from several airfields have been directed to strike and strike hard. im keeping the AVG in reserve for now in case i need them later.

the 40th ID convoy has arrived at Wake and is unloading. i hope to get the rest of them there but i figure that sprior must know that something is afoot in the area and that KB may very well come calling.

the RN far eastern fleet is camped at Bombay. 2 seperate forces, a surface force built around 5 battleships, 4 royal sovereigns and the Warspite as flag, and a carrier force with 100 planes anchored around 2 large and 1 light carrier, with very heavy AA escort. i may add the battleships to this in a pinch to augment the AA a bit further and to maybe absorb some punishment if KB comes to India.

possibly. but wherever possible ill engage KB within range of land based fighters.

and i figure sprior will return to Wake and even raid midway. i intend to disperse Pearls AA across the Pacific at key points to help take a greater toll of KB planes

ooo its been a while since the last update. oops. turns have been very frequent when they arrive. so in the space of a few days, several weeks have been covered. not all that much has changed however. at this point im counting down the days till the Zero bonus expires.

Java: nearly collapsed. spriopr landed at Merak some time ago as you know, and then he made several other landings around the coast to flank and destroy the infantry units on Java. Java will fall within 2 weeks depending on spriors speed of advance. virtually all aircraft have been evacuated to Burma and India.

Burma: sprior is bogged down at Mandalay, where some 40000 of my troops sit behind level 6 forts. he got em down to level 5 but the addition of several base forces with their engineers has rectified this and fort levels are on their way to level 7. there are over 100 fighters based here now to ward off raids. Imphal has finally hit level 4 airbase and hosts a flock of bombers and Hurricanes, as well as the AVG. Kohima is being built up in the same manner, as well as Chandpur.

South Pacific: Pago Pago has been reinforced with over 15000 troops and is building up fortifications and the airfield. Canton now has level 8 forts IIRC and hosts a flock of B17s and PBYs. there is a troop convoy bound for Suva, Fiji with over 20000 troops.

Wake: The entirety of the 40th ID has been landed, and the troops are digging in. forts are at level 3 and 20% of level 4. there is nearly 20000 units of supply ashore, more is on the way from pearl and midway.

Ledo: ledo is being built up as an airbase and hosts about 30 transports, including 16 newly arrived Dakotas, flown from Pearl(took a few days)[:D] they transport supplies over the hump to Chengtu. true its not much but its a start.

Baker: still in spriors hands, no real activity noticed, but hes gotta have seaplanes there. the 2nd Marines are at Pearl, and ive got a hankerin for an invasion...

Sprior is moving into the Coral Sea. 2 convoys have been spotted heading down from Truk. their target must be rabaul.

accordingly...

4 carriers and escorts plus a convoy are forming up for Noumea. 70 tankers are loading up at San Francisco. the boats based at Midway are heading for Palmyra.

in short about 200 ships and 50000+ troops are moving to hit Sprior head on.

the time to fight has come...

Sprior has brought carriers to Midway, and theyre still heading east.

is this a run at Pearl? though theres been no confirmation that this is KB, is not the presence of carriers so close to Pearl indicative that it MUST be KB?

i wouldnt bring baby KB so close to Pearl, thus it must be Full KB. keeping in mind the rule to NEVER assume what your enemy is up to, is this not the logical conclusion? if its Baby KB then it must be engaged. if its Full KB then it SHOULD be engaged.

Image

If sprior is making a run at pearl with the KB, going by numbers it amounts to suicide. not only are all 5 of my carriers there with AA ratings over 3200 in most cases, all the carriers except Lexington have had AA upgrades. not only that, but theres 249 fighters and over 200 bombers based at Pearl, including nearly 100 B17s. there are 428 planes on the carriers. hes outnumbered 2-1 in planes.

running away is not an option, not when i have such a numerical superiority.

thus there are 2 options:

A. keep the carriers seperate and engage with land based planes as well
B. combine all the carriers into once force covered by the land based fighters and engage. (im worried about the coordination though)

there are 197 Wildcats and about 220 SBDs. should be more than enough to hurt KB badly.
