Yes Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, two fingers missing on the left-hand from the Battle of Tsushima. Am also pretty sure the photo is pre-war on the flag bridge of Nagato.

Interesting picture: the clearest illustration I have ever seen of the extent of Yamamoto's injury at Tsushima.  He is wearing Class 1 service uniform, with Taisho rank insignia on collar patches and, in black braid, on the sleeves.  The uniforms and insignia of the IJN seem to have been quite sober and lacking in ostentation.

Actually, I always used shoe polish when I did it to my officers.....I works on head-sets too! [:D]
