57mm AT Gun bug

playing an Allied GC....Something odd I've noticed when ordering a 57mm ATG to provide suppressing fire on an unsighted target..

When the ATG runs out of HE shells, it will go into "Saving Ammo" status, even though there are 30+ AP shells left.

Usually the only way to get the ATG to reload and resume firing, is to cancel the previous fire order and issue a new one....

Sounds like it is working properly. Why would the crew fire AP shells at an area? HE is an area impact shell and it uses those until low or gone and stops....

'Cause I ordered them to?

On the bluffs over Omaha Beach, I'll throw anything I can at those damn hidden Jerrys....and an properly aimed AP shell will occaisonally knock out one of them buggers...

It's just a pain in the rumpus to have to cancel the fire order so the crew will reload, scroll back to the gun, and then scroll back to issue a new fire target.....

Maybe this is the way it always worked....honestly, my ATGs usually don't survive so long...[8D]
