sig and avatars

Post by AirGriff »

For the computer iliterite, how do I upload a picture to be a sig or an avatar? I've tinkered around on my profile page, but I can't get to get anything to show up. Subchaser made a great one for me and I can't wait to get it loaded.

Start out by clicking on text "upload my picture" for either or both of avatar and sig banner. Once the pic's been uploaded, scroll to the bottom of the "my profile" page, click "apply" and then click "OK". You have to do BOTH of the latter for the pic to show up.

Thanks.  I owe it all to Subchaser (and my grandfather, of course).  I'm going to post all over the place to show it off like a 16 year old girl with a new dress [:D]

Don't suppose Subchaser could come up with one for me? Hot chicks of the IJN fanboy? [:D]

I've been a forum member since '04 and always wanted a cool sig, but every time I'd try to get one up I couldn't make it work, got frustrated, and let it go for a few months before trying again (It's a wonder I didn't crash my computer somehow with all my tinkering).  I finally posted this thread asking for help and Subchaser swoops in with this doozy.  Made it look easy.  Guess I'll never be a graphic artist or programmer.

I should throw out a thanks to Terminus, as well.  I have been trying to get a new avatar up for a long time, as well.  Couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong.  Turns out I had to hit "apply" down at the bottom.  Oh, the wasted hours.  Thanks T.
