Hitting Streaks

Post by Wrathchild »

Does a day off count as an interruption of a player's hitting streak? What I'm wondering is if a player has to play in every game his team plays in order to keep his streak alive.

In MLB a day off is fine and does not stop the streak. In PS I don't know.

I am pretty sure days off don't count against a hitting streak in PS...if you don't play, you certainly can't get a hit. I believe I have even seen one continued into the next season.

Days off do not count at all.  I have a guy with a 14 game hitting streak when I put him on the 15 day DL.  The streak was still recognized by PSPN at day 10 of his DL stay.

OT a little bit, but I remember I had a guy with around a 23-27 game hitting streak going

and he was also listed as being one of Cold Batters

thought it was funny, got a long hitting streak going, but he was not hitting good :)
