What does this mean?

Norm Koger's The Operational Art of War III is the next game in the award-winning Operational Art of War game series. Hi,

If you look at the screen shot, I am trying to figure out where under Our Attack 12+6 does the number +6 come from. What does this number signify?

The first number (12 in your example) is AP strength. The second number (+6 in your example) is AT strength.
"What did you read at university?"
"War Studies"
"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."
