The Unit Panel

I installed the JMass 2D graphics mod which is superb but unfortunately the unit panel now has a BLACK background !!!.

OK, I know noth'in but I noticed the BK_files in the graphics folder were mostly BLACK or WHITE with one green.
I can't access my TOAW3 game disc to check the various files, however I still have the Talonsoft game disc, I've been browsing thro the graphics folder comparing files to find the problem, and all the BK_ files are 3D.
So I took a chance and copied them over but The Unit Panel background is still BLACK.

Everything else is perfect, could someone point me in the right direction, thanks in advance.

OK some others have encountered the same problem and a " bk_fix.zip " was posted for download on the main forum but all the links are now dead. If anyone reading this can help me out by sendind the fix I'd be very thankful.

are you sure your text contrast is not set to maximum?

Sorry regarding the delayed response, I'm a moron and you are totally correct, changing to Standard or Highlight resolves the problem, have other ongoing PBEM games and only potter around with TOAW3 at this time.
Could you explain in layman terms why this occurs in Maximum text setting.
