Some noob questions

Some noob questions

Post by billg1949 »

1. i landed UK troops in france but they are out of supply. Why? my US troops are in supply though.

2. the US is in the war but only 5% of the country is showing and they should be producing a TON of PP. they are not. Why?

3. how can i tell who has won? germany has some capitals and i (russia) have some capitals.

4. my battleships dont seem to work. i should be able to bombard troops on land shouldn't I?

5. do u think it would be possible to import the unit graphics into other games....like conquest of Agean? i like these graphics a lot. dont like the NATO type symbols.

thanks in advance.......Bill

1. In the manual you will find a description of supply. Sea supply is granted if your unit can trace a path of friendly controlled hexes back to a ship on the coast. I didn't think there is any difference between U.S. and U.K. units but I supposed it's possible you need a UK ship on the coast as well as a U.S. ship - I didn't think so though.

2. U.S. production is fine. The little bit of country that shows is a lot of production. Research general technology and put a focus point in industry to raise your PP production quickly. U.S. is abstracted into a small number of hexes because it's not an important manuever area for the game.

3. I'm not sure in vanilla game to tell who's won. Check the manual or wait until the game to tell you who won.

4. BB's can definitely bombard enemy units next to them. It works fine. DD's can do this also.

5. It's possible to change the graphics. The BJR mod does this. I have no idea how to do it though. Check the "graphics" folder inside the game. I guess the images are there.
