The top of the picture shows Missouri next to her dock at Ford Island. I don't know why your photo has a green tint. It didn't have one when I looked at it on "Google earth".

The photo of Norfolk shows Nimitz, George Washington , and a third Nimitz undergoing refit.

And the dark streak trailing away from Mo is the oil slick from the bunkers of Arizona still leaking to this day.

I do not know where I got this picture from (maybe this forum) but it is a good one. Shows the oil leak very well. Has anyone found the parts of the superstructure that was cut off in 1942, and the sixties. That were dumped on Fords Island using Google earth?

Let me put it this way. After the bombing, the USS Arizona had much of the superstructure / turrets above the water line cut away. If I recall correctly, these and additional pieces of the wreckage  that were removed from the ship during the construction of the memorial were transported to a spot on Ford Island, where they still sit rusting to this day. Was just asking if anyone has found these artifacts by searching with Google Earth. I have tried and could not find it. Sorry if I did not make myself clear the first time, it was late when I wrote the above.  [:)]

I'm sorry... sometimes I can just be a jerk. I knew what you were saying, but you left that opening for me to jump into. It was kind of like tapping out "shave and a haircut" around Roger Rabbit... completely irresistible.
