Well Egg is polite but I wonder if he is reading what we are reading:)

Oh well, all I have ever seen posted by Egg leads me to think he lives in his own world to some extent.

But no one will say he can't post pointless posts here:D

Any readers of the old "general" magazine by avalon hill?

This whole discussion reminds me of a variant for Advanced third reich that got published...
There were rules for Superman joining the allies, the british making an aircraft carrier out of an iceberg, the germans summoning occult werewolves and witches, the Russians contaminating other players 'bodily fluids', the italians having their troops blessed by the pope, the mafia helping the US undermine Italy etc... just crazy stuff.
I always thought that it would be a fun variant to play with, but never got any opponents for it.... Anyone out there get a chance to play with these rules?? I'd be interested in hearing the results.

You have to admit, the guys have been fairly nice not saying anything flippant till this point.

Well I guess Egg can't blame us if the default becomes "hmmm thread by Egg, might as well pass, he never says anything useful, and he is a waste of time with what he does say".

And I know what he will say to this post, about as much as he has already said, nothing much.

But then, no one suffers, when Egg says nothing.

Consider me as "unsubscribed from thread Egg" which means I won't be seeing your reply.

Is this what you think?......Really....:(

I really like this forum cause of the topic of history and all the interesting people and what they have to say.

Sorry if I rubbed anyone the wrong way.
I don't have much going for me besides my computer and my friends on forums, this being one of my favorite ones....

sorry about the PM Les I didn't mean it

*Flash of inspiration*

If you're really interested, you could set up this game in SP:MBT... use korean war era british or american or russian equipment against modern day American equipment.

I'm not sure how much fun such a scenario would be... but I suppose the first time watching a company of t-34s getting wiped out by an A-10 would be somewhat amusing.

Egg_Shen (note correct typing).

Hey not to worry, I suppose I should behave myself more too.

Don't sweat the PM and I won't continue to harass you.

I was thinking that my comments perhaps don't do any service to Matrix, and as such I have of my own choosing typed this.

I have grown to like being well thought of here on the forum, and I don't wish to injure that.

You are likely just more or less like some of my real world friends, just a bit goofy, but I like them fine all the same.:D

Go on being yourself dude.

I don't understand Gyblin?

Are you saying I was wrong in implying the Enterprise with Kirk could take out anyone in the 40's?.

I might be stretching credibility to suggest Janeway could, but surely you agree that Kirk could do it. Even in the original Enterprise starship.:)

Glad to see that smiley face, Egg_Shen. I just happen to be one of those irratating people who can't pass up an opportunity to tease people. Please take that as a compliment. If I tease you, it means I'm paying attention to you because you said something that made me think (or made me smile, which is better.) Otherwise, I wouldn't even have responded. I personally have this thing about "what if" history situations that dates back to my college years. But that's just me and doesn't mean those kinds of questions are not valid.

Don't let old fart's like me and Les intimidate you, just keep on posting and fire right back at us. We're all friends here, sharing a great hobby. The more the merry'er.
