In WitP a pilot is a pilot. Only thing that really matters is experience. And with a few notable exceptions once a pilot is assigned, thats where he is. You arent putting P-40 pilots in B-25s flying off carriers as a movie would have you believe [:D]

When you check the pilot it displays fighter, bomber, transport and something else.
I was wondering if it matters what type of pilot should fly same type of group.

He is talking about squadron/groups leader. Nope what is written in text doesnt really matters in combat. Only the numbers matters
All leaders with high aggression (i think over 65) = fighter

(or somethink like that, I am not sure on that)

Yes she is.
