good thing ...... we have seen your smiling fiendish face in your posts. Which is enough to keep me from getting in a PBEM game with such a ruthless looking guy LOL.
I had this crazy dream the other night....I was at a gathering of players of this game at some hotel in a Midwest city and it was a WitP LAN party....why not all we need are a few good organizers and a place to have it over a long week end. Although I have given up for a time playing till AE comes out and I find out for sure that the game is just to much for this old brain I would love to watch and talk to some of the great players.
We might even get Matrix to go along and have it on the day AE is actually released with a reduced price for those who attend......I know just a crazy thought from an old man....but still fun to think about.....ok you can put me back in my strait jacket now....I will go quietly and even take my meds..(SIGH)

Hitchiker we picked up during a race. Hopped up the open transom in the middle of the night, mugged the tiller, and made himself at home. Stayed on board for about 8 hours.

It was in 1995. I was part of the ship's company on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). We were tasked to launch some old warbirds from our deck in San Francisco Bay as part of the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the war in the Pacific. They were craned onto the deck before we left the dock. This picture of a B-25 taking off was taken from the island structure. I was told that hudreds of pounds of weight was put in the tail of this aircraft to ensure the nose got off the deck quickly enough to make the launch. We launched a half dozen birds, including a Corsair and I think a Hellcat. One of the most moving events of my life - it gave a sense of what it must have been like watching these magnificent beasts and their crewmen take off and not know if they would return...
