2by3 Any News?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

2by3 Any News?

Post by Hagleboz »

Has anyone heard anything new about 2by3's upcoming East Front title? Last official update from them was Feb 15th. Not long ago by their standards but still an eternity for someone who has been waiting for this title for years and gobbles up every scrap of info he can on it. I wish 2by3 could at least give a short and sweet update once every month or two, rather than a long one once, maybe twice a year. A simple we did this, this and this and plan on tackling this, this and that on a regular basis would be much nicer IMO. Any thoughts or news?

Just recently started testing again after beeing away for three months and it's looking really good. Updates are frequent and there are always improvements and updates to the AI. Don't know how much more I can tell you than that. We have some great testers who are making the testing go forward.

U2,

While you didn't say anything that was really a secret, no public comments please while we're still in Alpha development, that's what the NDA is all about. Wait until we give you guys leave to discuss, in the meantime communication should come from us or 2by3.

Regards,

- Erik

Well that looks like all we'll get for now.  At least we know production is moving forward, that's all I really wanted to know.  Thanks guys.  Maybe if I wish hard enough we'll get a screenshot by December.

Okay one more question before this thread slides into oblivion. Erik or anyone else in the know, will there be any official news on progress before the end of summer?

Yes, most certainly. Over here the summer did not start really yet, weather wise, so that gives us a little extra time LOL.
