Scenario Distribution

Post by ToyImp »

I just made a good scenario, I think anyway, and I am wondering what files are needed to .zip (or .rar) it so that I can send it out, or put it on my site. Since I am going to be making a Campaign, what files will be needed for that as well?

SCENARIOS: you'll need AT LEAST the .dat and .cmt. Then the file containing the intro text (unless you weant to release it without..). The .rec one is not strictly necessary, unless there is something taking place at before the first turn starts and that you want to show to your endusers, like i.e. a prebombardement, or a para drop, etc.

CAMPAIGNS: again all the .cmt and .dat files, plus the file named "ucampxxx.dat", where "xxx" corresponds to the slot yr campaign is saved in, and which contain all the infos pertaining to the campaign as a whole. Plus all the text files.
I suggest for you to check into the "campaign" folder to have a better idea of what we are talking about, and to read the manual, where a "build yr own campaign" tutorial is included.

Last suggestion: use winzip as this is the tool used by almost everybody.

Hope this helps.
