Btw, I'm not sure if anyone can use this, but I do have the original box and manual still, along with - can you believe it - an intact and (probably) working version of it on a 5-1/4" floppy. Does that take you back?

Yes it does. It was actually a bit sad when I finally pulled the 5 1/4" drive from my PC and replaced it with a CD-ROM. Rage against the machine [;)]

Btw, did you fill out your customer response card? This gave me a chuckle [:D]

I always hated theos MS-DOS icons you get when you run old programs, so I created a couple of cartoon icons for my two versions of PacWar. Anyone want them?

Still hoping for the basic instruction on how to break up a task force in port. How comw "r" doesn't work?

"r" should remove a task force - disbanding it into port. I'm not sure why that isn't working for you [&:] the only thing I can think of is make sure your caps lock is off ("R" will not work).

Yeah, it works. I was just thoroughly surprised to find that the Japanese had taken Rangoon on the second turn. I was trying to remove my task force in the harbour there. In the original version, if I was lucky and played my cards right, I could hold onto Rangoon for the whole game. A bit of a difference!
