Pipped by 1 min at my end Seamus, just 1 min; so Turkey takes this turns Speedo 1st Class with bar and Green stuff round the edges. As thats the 2nd time Russia has been pipped by a min, reckon a 'Mention in Despatches' is only fair.

So with Turkey, Russia & Austria in thats 4 to go.

I'm on the "wrong" side of the Atlantic here, and Matto and most of you guys are "closer" to the Sun . . . can't we figure out some kinda level playing field where we Yanks don't have to basically time-travel to get our turns in _before_ we actually receive them in order to win the coveted Speedo? [:'(]

Seriously though, as I work nights then it does sometimes happen that I am more in Sync time-wise with you Chaps over there than with the rest of Europe and Mus, Andrew & Bill have I think (if my memory serves me well) all won the “Greatly” [8|] cherished Speedo awards on more than one occasion.

So look out for flying horses in your neck of the wood, and remember you are the 1st ever recipient of a MiD’s, an honour not to be sniffed at. [:-]

Instant Combat seems to really turn out unlikely results.

120,000 men defeating 240,000.  Roughly similar quality.  Minor doctrinal edge to the smaller force.  Leadership quality about equal?

I dont see it happening.

I hope that the next WCS game has some kind of combat system that can be done between players for critical battles.  What size would be handled by house rule or a setting during game startup.

The instant results makes combat and war too much of a crapshoot I think.

Sneak Attack by the cowardly Prussians! [:D]

Also Mus it was 164k v 240k and the French Div's were completely organized into Corps where only about half the Prussians were... not sure how much of a difference that made, but in my experience it seems to make a big difference in instant battles.
