End and Pitch count

Post by Hard Sarge »

can some one explain how end is figured out for the pitcher and how many pitches he should be able to throw based on his end ?

last game, had a "very worn out" pitcher come into the game, End of 6, and he ended up throwing 81 pitches, and basicly, until two weird basehits in the 9th, he came out of it pretty good

other wise, 4 relief pitchers, all very worn out, got 11 out of 14 batters to strike out

(wonder what they would of done if they were feeling great !)

I just trying to figure out how to manager my pitchers, the End numbers confuse me, other game, my pitcher had 110 pitches in the 7th inn, 3 hits, no walks, 5 K's, that is a lot of pitches, for not being in trouble in the game

Hm, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm better off right now not being able to get my association working in 1.75. It sounds like there are some screwy pitcher things. I'm still laughing at the pitcher giving up 57 runs. That manager should be fired.

The poor guy hasn't fared much better in the minors. Check out those walks. Any time a pitcher with STUFF, CONTROL, and/or VELOCITY of 5 plays in a game, hold your breath.

......but only 56 of the runs were EARNED[;)]

This louse is setting on a 2 yr contract for $132,178, at the AAA level, with those ratings? It's no wonder he doesn't want his player picture made public. His POW is higher than his Velocity and his EYE is higher than his Control. Who's managing this guy's team, Stevie Wonder?
