Steel Panthers modern warfare went bye bye.

The project was started and then ran into a brick wall, much like the late great moderna upgrade.

I believe you'll be in that group of people that is looking forward to Combat Leader and especially it's modern possibilities.

Were stuck with sp3online for now.

Really??? I was anxious to play that game, too bad. Do you have any links for sp3 add-ons? Campaigns mostly. Is there any other project similar to spmwm ?

It's very bad that they decided to give it up..
(upgraded SP3 isn't as good as SP2 was)

What about patches for SPWAW ??
-Year fix (1950-2010)
-rules for Missiles (SAM,ATGM)
-rules for helicopters
-new armour values +1000 and HEAT/Reactive..
(or the whole armour is repessented as steel)
Ok.. it should be a lot of work to implement the
last two points. But there are surely some freaks
who are interested in doing all the army development, art etc. !

I'm currently working on OOB data and Unit Icons
and pictures for the Balkan conflict.
SPWAW has most possibilities to be played with modern armies.. BUT only in small conflicts.
The greatest problem is that modern armour protection technology has changed a bit (!). This means that that we can't use real modern MBTs in SPWAW. It's crazy but they still use T34/85 and T55 Tanks in some countries. Maybe I have to use another scale for the armour (Does somebody know how ? 10:1 cm steel ?) to use T72 in SPWAW.

SAM and ATGMs are still in SPWAW. So are helicopters, except you can't adjust attitude and you get a motorcycle sound.

True. You can't make reactive armour or tanks much past the '70s.

ATGM weapon class don't work. I set up weapon accuracy to 60(=240) and after every shoot the hit chance is 60. I haven't tested it with SAMs. Another great problem is that weapon accuracy is limited because of the x4 factor.
What shall i do ? Is there another class i could use for missiles ?

That's odd. I built ENTAC and SS-11 missiles for the South Africans and I get 70 to 99 percent accuracy for shots from ENTAC rovers and 60 to 99 percent accuracy from infantry teams. I used the accuracy settings from Steel 2. My SAMS, both manpack and vehicular work also. I used ENTAC on a Maus yesterday, First shot struck front. Non-penetrating hit. Second shot blew it arsy-varsy.

Tigers shouldn't challenge Olifants but Mause may.
