Opinions on MLB Gameday?

Post by KG Erwin »

If your team isn't on TV, this is the next best thing. I haven't signed up for the premium package, as the free coverage is fine. Of course, it only tempts me to fire up PS, but, all things considered, MLB does allow you to follow every game of your favorites.

I like the pitch displays. Those are cool.

I don't think I could handle watching baseball on a computer, as I'd rather be playing! The pitch display is awesome, though. They have that in Out of the Park, and I play pitch by pitch and watch every pitch. I'm such a masochist.

I would not do it. When I am travelling, I find myself using ESPN or Yahoo's gamecast. Yes, it is dots on a diamond display and updates every 30 seconds, but it has the virtue of being free.

Yes, I am invested in my Mets but I also find myself enjoying the game more when I am away and watching two other teams play. Less emotional attachment, I suppose.

I guess I just don't care enough about any particular team to monitor a game online. Even if I'm watching it on TV I'm doing other things at the same time. If I was just listening to a stream or something I would find myself not paying attention.
