not me yet. Mind you, I am in New Zealand and it takes a while for our internet pigeons to travel the distances, who knows when there is a nice bird feeder on the way?

Good to see yer OK Anthropoid. Got the emails, but the zip file contained 'All' files. Still need Russia's 'Done' files.
I like what Franck did with setting up a hotmail for the "no frills" game. I might look into getting one for this game as well.

Doh! Resent again with the Rusdone version instead of the original ALL version attached.
I'm beginning to think the main problem is with Outlook, as it seems IronWarrior received that last note just fine.

Hmm... got the file, but it's turn 1. We're on turn 2... did you ever receive the 'All" file for turn 2?
(Forwarded the original turn 2 email to you)

Well I will also report that it eventually made it to me as well. Just too impatient.

HiHi
Not sure who's getting what in your game but from personal experiance the Zip files seem to do their own thing!
Eg I downloaded Seamus zipped files for 'Another PBEM' game, unzipped in the normal way then couldn't find the buggers, tried again, asked if I wanted to replace the already established file (Huh??!!??), said yes, still no files in the PBEM folder, so had a look at the whole CoG folder and noticed Russias Zip had set up it's own folder!!! (never had that before and Seamus's predessesor in 'Another PBEM' used to zip his files).
Anyhow the upshot is you then have to copy the files from the newly created Russia zip folder to the main PBEM folder, so to cut a long story short ... Seamus please do NOT send your files Zipped [:D] ... well to me anyhow.
Agian from personal experriance this time over years, Hotmail is a bummer for both sending & recieving files, it works OK for periods the throws little wobblies of it's own choosing, IMO it's best avoided, but other folk seem to like it ... perverts! [:)]

Yeah, free is never "free" [;)].
I never saw an email with turn 002, and all I had in my inbox were turns 000 and 001. Maybe resend Turn 002 and see if I get it or not. If the one you're using doesn't work try

RE: PBEM 109
Okay no problem; won't zip to you Peter.
Up above here somebody suggested zipping them might make them go through to IronWarrior more effectively, though I doubt that it would. In my experience, hotmail is just sketchy.
For the time being I have a semi-crappy wireless connection till I fly back to Mass in a day or so (tomorrow night I think), and when I tried to attach both files unzipped it was just not able to handle it. I just sent you both the files for the "Another PBEM" match in two notes and that seemed to work even with the larger .sve file, so no problem.

Hey Guys, but mostly IronWarrior
Just a reminder, I do not have Turn 002, so to get things moving again, I need you to send that to me. I guess all of you will have that Turn 002_all_.sve file so if any one of you would just send that to me we can get things moving along again.

Anthropoid, I sent an email to the group to ask if anyone else can try to send you the file as apparently every time I try to send you a file it never gets there. I never get a message saying that it didn't go through, so I don't know.

RE: PBEM 109
ADDIT: I received Turn 002 from some of the other guys, so no need to send this turn but maybe send a test note IronWarrior and with my spam reset maybe things will work from here on out.
Okay, I just checked my Spam filter in my actual ISP account (I use Outlook and have a couple different email accounts all collate in one place so it is kinda complicated and difficult to recall all settings). "live.com" was set in my "suspect" domains so that probably explains why I've been missing some of your notes. Why some of them have got through but not all I can only guess. Since hotmail is free, some of the more amateurish spammers seem to have used it a lot in the past and IIRC that is why I had it set to suspect. Hopefully that is no longer the case
So, you _should_ be able to get notes to me now.

RE: PBEM 109
Russian Turn 002 played and sent back to Matto, Maestro, and IronWarrior. I suspect that now that I have my spam filters set to let live.com come through, you should be able to get notes to me IronWarrior. I also set it so that it does not automatically delete suspected spam and that should help.
Again, sorry to slow us down right after starting guys. As my history in the "Another PBEM" game goes, I'm typically real good about getting turns back quickly, as in matters of hours. I am very keen on this match. Having played as a fillin for a Russia player, I feel like I have Russia pretty well figured out, so I'm really looking forward to giving it my best go with me in control from the start.
Will check back in briefly tonight to see if things have been received and maybe check on Turn 003.

Sounds like that was the problem Anthropoid. Seemed to only happen when I tried to send you a file.
Got your last turn... going to go merge and do Spain's turn now.
