Anyone here ..........

Post by Shaun Wallace »

Hia Guys,

Who here remembers the ClubSSI forums and how hard it used to be to mod CC ;)

CSO has all the latest downloads and files and many mods beinbg worked on already for CoI, WaR and CC:TLD.

What are your overall thoughts of TLD? I have to admit to being hooked all over again!

Still waiting on an updated workbook for WAR.

Modded?  yes  Define easily.[:D]  I created Photoshop actions to save the parts of the strat map out of the master image which makes changing it easy but setting that up was time consuming.  Worth it though.

This is by far the easiest CC so far to mod, open txt files and pretty much as much as possible left open and easy to get to.

PM, hmm. keep it at CSO ;)

Its been a long time since I even thought about Close Combat games and then I see a new one is out. I remember ClubSSI, Ryans forum, CSO and all the old mods from the 1940 mod for cc2 onwards (Crete being a favourite)! I see there's a few old names about here. Hi to everyone - do you all remember The Great War mod I was involved in.

I would love to try out TLD but am suffering from the credit crunch at the moment. So I thought why not dig out CC2 and give it a run out? Still a great game - just managed the make the bridge but was forced off after two days hard fighting. No other game has really compared to CC - only Take Command 2nd Manassas and maybe Total War Shogun have been played as much but certainly not modded as much!

I'll be getting a copy of TLD when things turn around financially - great to see cc still in action.
