Just a quick question guys. Do you know if AE is meant to work off the original WITP, or the fully patched WITP? I sure hope it's the former, but suspect it's the latter.

AE is a fully seperate/self contained install. It only requires that the original WitP be installed on the hard drive that your installing AE too.

Only to install? Or will WITP be required to remain on the hard drive for play?

WitP (stock) must be installed on your hard drive in order to successfully install WitP-AE

Not yet, nor is the War in the Pacific group associated with the game. Come to think of it T , your not in there either! [:D]

I'm lucky. I still have a ways to go before I finish off my pbem (Feb. '44). If I time it right, they'll have AE up and running with 6 months worth of tweaks before I'm ready to play it. The day it comes out I'm going to feel soooo rushed to finish things up in my current game.

Well this wasn't really directed at you guys. I respect the work you are doing and would kill to have the kind of skills you guys have to make toys for guys like me. I understand the corporate types run the show and it was directed at them. Seems like an awful lot of zero to no buzz for a game that could be out as soon as july. I keep putting off starting games because I keep hearing its close. Something I have heard for many many months. I'm just looking for the straight skinny.

Here it is: you WILL see AE before the end of the summer. I can't tell you the exact date, because I don't know, but it WILL be there. That's straight, it's skinny and it's level...

Ah...which summer?  Northern or southern hemisphere?  The summer of 2009 or 2010 or 2011?  The summer of planet Earth or Jupiter?

is this a nice way of saying - end of summer? if it was going to be june you would say end of june, july - end of july, but we're still only on a 'seasonal' release date - end of summer?!!?

With the latest delay I bought some HPS titles I've been wanting, I'm getting some enjoyment out of them. After getting my hopes up of an imminent release and spending much of the past few weeks watching for gold I'd be lying if I didn't say I was starting to be indifferent to this whole thing, Hopefully AE will be out by sometime next year.

I joined the forums way back in 2001 when I stumbled across the free Pacwar upgrade (one of my all time favorite games)... I waited out WiTP (with UV as a speedbump along the way)... I figure I've been here for 8 years or so, I can wait a few more months for AE.

As a bonus, BOB/BTR appears to be nearing completion as well. Might be a busy fall for me...

Might be Art Work. Would be nice to know if it will be sometime in July, or August , Or September. Even a rough estimate is good, Kinda like a contractor "2 weeks" is all it will take, everyone nows that it will be longer.
I thought this place was a empire, now im the last, I can't be sure...
