Ship acceleration

Post by Zigurat666 »

Limited info...sorry but my PBEM opponent reads these.
Does anyone know why certain ships can,t be accellerated for building? In the list of ships on the industry page they all have the yellow option to change their status (Accel, normal, halt) but when I click on the ones I particularly want to change the status will not?

Any comments?

Ships can be accelerated only after their keel has been laid down. So some late war smaller japanese ships (e.g. PCs, PGs DDs, PGs and some of the CLs) can only be accelerated a year or half a year before they are schedulled to be completed. You can not accelerate something that is not in building process yet (or not yet even planned)!

Thanks. That makes sense, since I like some of the later boats but they undoubtedly are under the circumstances you describe.

Hope I gave you correct answer [;)] I like that late war ASW crafts too! Have been frustrated a lot by not being able to build them before. I don't know if shipbuilding is changed in AE so you can build them sooner...[&:]
