Unrest

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Unrest

Post by aprezto »

I have searched the manual regarding the word 'unrest' figuring that the affects of 'unrest' would quote the word.
'Unrest' is found twice.
Once to say that it is a status that is shown in the provinces report, and
a second time to tell you that the forage level of a province is halved when it suffers unrest.

However it appears to have more impact than that. From what I have found it stops the production of military units, despite the fact you can still purchase them while the province is suffering through unrest.
It apparently has an impact on national morale, but that observation is second hand, I haven't seen this.
Also that it impacts the chance a conquered province will suffer insurrection - but I haven't seen this specifically before (I have had insurrections but the provinces weren't suffering unrest).
Does anyone no a more definitive list of its affects.

This is a timely post as i was trying to figure out un-rest too...

The concept of un-rest is not explained that i can see. How is it started and what affects does it do at different levels, and how can unrest be reduced?

thanks.

I would be interested in knowing if sending troops affects unrest. :)

Unrest:

- Halves income from the province
- Prevents province from contributing toward feudal levy
- Prevents province from contributing to experience / naval experience
- Prevents progress on unit construction and provincial developments
- Halves forage available in province

It doesn't.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.

I don't know whether this list is in the manual.  I can add it to the in-game help for the next update if it's not already in there.
