I like using these because you aren't stuck with the fixed background image. However, the ones I'm using seem to have a lot of white edges, though they look ok in-game and on the player cards. Anyone know what I can do to make them look better?
Also, why is the main page still showing my old .gif logo?

I don't have any commercial art applications. Is that something I could do with MSPaint or something similar? I have no problem editing the files if I have to. I already had to shrink these down from their original size.
EDIT: I forgot to ask what putting a border around it would do. Will that give it a visible white border wherever it's used? I'm trying to get a seamless blend of the logo with it's surrounding background.

You can download a free graphics program called Paint.net that would allow you to edit the graphics. But if you put a uniform border around the logos you will see the white around the full edge of the logo. To get the seamless look, you would need to open each in Paint.net and make those white areas transparent.
One other option you could do is go to the OOTP page on PadreFan's website and get the MLB Network Logo pack or the Historical Logo pack. All you would need to do with those is resize them from the OOTP size (150x150) to the Puresim size (80x80). From what I can tell of those, they do not have as many of the white edges that I am seeing in your posted picture. I'm going to be converting those over for my own use. Those are some sharp logos.
Believe me, JSJarvis, I would love to use those logos but my association is currently in 1907 so I want to use the older ones. Unfortunately, the set I have, also from PadresFan's site, is the only set I've found in .png format. It's the white edges that are bothering me and I don't even think I could make them look good using the suggestion to put a white border around them, which actually looks fine on the current MLB logos so I would consider doing it. What I was doing was using Windows Photo Editor to painstakingly pick one pixel at a time and make it transparent. That got old really fast. I'm not even sure where those white edges are coming from as they don't exist in the images. They probably aren't even white, as in the image those corresponding areas are just very light color (light, light blue in the case of my Superbas logo), but it makes them look funny. But I'm not giving up because I really don't want to go back to .gif! [:D]

Send me your email address. I'm working on a historical logo pack in PNG format from a set of larger logos that I found. I tried the Brooklyn one in one of my associations this morning and it looks clean with no white edges.
I sent you a set of 1907 logos to test, Wrathchild. In the historical PNG logo set that I am putting together I currently have logos done for every defunct team and am beginning to work on the logos for current teams. When I am done it will be quite the collection of logos including primary logos, secondary logos and some cap logos. I currently have 194 logos done. When I am done I will upload to Padre's site for everyone to be able to download.
Great job! I just put them in and they look really good. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. Unfortunately, I don't have anything like Paintshop Pro so I am at the mercy of others!

I've got over 300 done so far and only have the NL historical/present ones to do. Hopefully I'll have all of those done by the end of the week and I can test them. With the long weekend, maybe I can get everything done and uploaded by then. I can't make any promises, but that is what I'm shooting for. Hopefully it will be a useful pack for those doing historical leagues.
I finished up the pack yesterday and have sent it off to Padresfan for posting. The pack will include 446 logos spanning from the late 1800s until today. Hopefully they will be useful for those that play historical replays or who just would like some new logos for their leagues.
