Well, we have been told(IIRC), that the release date will coincide with a historical date of relevance.

Here is a "Do it yourself" release date kit.(Have at it, friends!)[:D]

Well, I don't recall ever saying that, but this seems like the most likely date range:

July 19, 1944 - U.S. Marines invade Guam in the Marianas.
July 24, 1944 - U.S. Marines invade Tinian.
July 27, 1944 - American troops complete the liberation of Guam.

I was hoping you would say,
July 8, 1943 - B-24 Liberators flying from Midway bomb Japanese on Wake Island.
July 8, 1944 - Japanese withdraw from Imphal

July 16th 1945: Manhattan Project has it's first test; a Plutonium device at the Trinity site.

July 18th 1944: Tojo resigns office due to numerous "setbacks" in the war.

Huh...18th is an interesting day in general: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/July_18

Does that mean tht the slow boat from China arrived? Do we make it past customs, or does someone need to go down to the level 10 port at SF and bribe someone? [:D]

Good news! IIRC this must mean we are getting close to the date that Matrix will make a full copy of the manual available in advance to registered WITP owners. That should keep us busy for a while until release.

I know it's not the topic, but Bob you've seen better days. That website is really somewhat biased and crappy in the way dates were chosen...

Seeing that you're in Scotland, I take this to mean that you've put aside your Brazil shirt in favor of the Australia one, right? [;)]

And now for something completely different. I am hoping for Aug. 6. That will be my Birthday, and I might we able to sweet talk the Finance Department into approving the purchase request for AE. Besides that, I'll be 60 and deserve something for maintaining a sole side down, sober, and hopefully productive six decades.

It needs to be July 24th, its my birthday, I will be 50 and since that's 1/2 a century it would be a great day for a release. Besides RevRick, not trying to minimize your Bday, but it is over a week longer we would have to wait [;)]
