Single Player Combat Difficulty

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Single Player Combat Difficulty

Post by evwalt »

Anyone have a recommendation for a challenging single player combat difficulty with the computer not having TOO insane of an advantage?

Just got done playing my first naval battle on Bonaparte level and it was a little much when my Dansih 1st rate "raked the stern" of a Russian 3rd rate for 24 men killed, 4 hull damage and then had ITS stern raked by an Russian FRIGATE, which caused 3 times as much damage.

What does someone play on for: a good challenge but not too insane of results?
Russia in "Going Again II"
France in "Quest for Glory"
Prussia in "Invitational"

HardSarge would probably have the best answer for this question.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.
