Don't change your form email address

Post by Don Braswell »

Don't change your form email address until to talk with Matrix. I'm in the middle of changing internet providers. I have a new email address. So,,,, I go to my profile and update my email address......... bam I'm locked out of the form, can't post, can't go to Matrix for help! Wants some number that Matrix sent, that was three/four years ago???? I emailed Erik Yesterday but have not heard from him yet. To get back in I had to reregister. It didn't want to take my info. Said it was already in use. Boy this is a mess. I'd like to get my old account back. I could use some help here.

Send me a PM with your new and old email adresses. A bit of info too that might help me to verify your account.

Indeed. Changing the e-mail adress combined with deleted cookies is bad here. Took me 2 years to get a new password from matrix lol ; . Meanwhile I had more postcounts with my provisional nick as with this one ;)

Interesting. I recently change my address from my ISP account to Gmail. It works fine for the forum traffic. Last night I did a request for serial numbers from the Members section-and those did not come.

I'll test that again-if it does not work then I suppose I had better change my email back to the original.

Actually, come to think of it; my last purchase info came in on my old email even though I was already using the new email address.

There seems to be two email systems, one for the store and another for the forums.

What to do, what to do???

I don't know Gmail but for most freemail providers you can adjust settings of spam filter.

I confirmed that my game info (serial #'s) is not being emailed to either of my addresses. (note: this is not an actual problem at all at this time)

I also confirmed that my old address is still on record at the Matrix Community site. That was the one for my original registration. So, I have two emails on record, but one does not work all the time.

I think I'll just leave it as is until there is guidance from higher.

You should be fixed now.

Forum, Members Area (where you register your games) and E-Shop are all different accounts.

That's good to know. I will just leave it as it is then.

It is still odd that my serial numbers were not mailed to my original (and primary) address. I tried last night and again a little while ago. Again, its not an actual problem as I already have them and can also see them online. I wonder why it was not mailed? As I mentioned above; all the info regarding my last game purchase came through on the original email address without problem. Why would one function work and the other not?

If talking about the link in Members area to email your #'s it goes to your members registered email address...so if old address it goes there.

IF you Know the Email address and the Password you use for entering the members area you can in there I believe one in it, change password and email or just email and keep old password..

In my account within members area.
