Mega campaign doesn't work...

Post by Shrapnel »

Hi all,

I'm new here so I might be missing something.

I have 7.1 and bought the lost battles and Guadalcanal(sp?) mega campaigns.

I install LB into the Megacamp dir as instructed by the install sequence but when I load up the game and select the mega campaign area it's blank as it was before I installed LB.

So what am I doing wrong?

Also I heard there was a patch out. Where do I go to get it?

Thanks for your time.

Make sure you actually install it to the correct folder, and also, check where you installed it to, make sure it didn't 'nest' another megacamp folder inside it, that's what it sounds like?! Usually, when I do an update, I clear the path already in the box, and browse physically to where i have it installed, can't go wrong that way. Hope this helps!

I did manually browse it to the C:\Matrix Games\Steel Panthers World At War\MegaCam folder.

It appears you added a space between Matrix and Games when one shouldn't be there (MatrixGames) unless you typoed here in the thread.

Actually that was the path at work (I don't have the MC installed there).
The path at home where the MC is installed is: D:\Steel Panthers World At War\MegaCam

So you're saying that the MC won't work if there are spaces in te Dir name?

You really need to stick with the default directry, :\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers World at War\MegaCam because this is were all patches and upgrades will default too. If you haven't gotten to far into the game it self, here what I suggest, delete SPWAW entirely to included manually removing the game directory once it's finished. Install SPWAW from the LV CD, this will install both SPWAW and Lost Victories, the update button was designed to import Lost Victories into an existing installation of SPWAW, but the link on the CD is broken and this seems to be causing you grief. Then you can import WatchTower into it, upgrade SPWAW to 7.1 then install each of the Mega patches.
