Switching between AI and human

This was possible in RtW by pressing F1 - is it still possible? F1 doesn't seem to do it.

Thanks.
Another question - with special events nothing seems to happen, for example, I've spent 300 PP preparing for operation Sealon and don't seem to have gained anything - am I missing something? Similarly with the Waffen-SS reruitment.

Some of the events have hidden bonuses, and some of effect are postponed for months.

Is there an event list somewhere with cause and effect? The events are a great part of the game but I'm clueless as to many of the events' impacts.

There is no such a list.
The best thing you migh do is to go to /main game folder/data/events open xml file for specific country an look around
