1.77 Beta 2 (With XP Fix)

OK, I squashed the XP bug. The only downside is XP user's dialog boxes will not use Windows enhanced styles (they look fine, just not as snazzy as Vista and Windows 7).

If you don't mind testing a beta, I'd love to get some folks to try out 1.77 Beta 2. I am especially looking for Vista users that have User Account Control ON and even more interested in testers that have Vista 64bit, or a Windows 7 Release Candidate.

1. Download the full 1.77 Beta Install (If you didn't already)

2. Download and apply the 1.77 Beta 2 Patch (26mb)

I had User Account Control after i d/l the 1.77 beta but at the time it wouldnt let me play the game and it gave me the runtime error 339 but this morning i decide to turn it off and vista ran the game w/o problem

I turned on UAC and it asked me when I first tried playing the game but everything ran smooth after that.

1.77 and 1.77b are solid patches, so you guys can be confident in applying them. I'm using 1.77b in my association, and I've not seen any problems.

I am struggling to get a full download for the full version 1.77. The longest download after a few tries is only 33.6 mbs.

Any suggestions or is it just a matter of keep trying until you succeed?
