This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!
Wow, WITP set in Central Europe. It could have individual marhing orders for each soldier and the player could even decide when and what each man eats. We could have specify when weapons are to be cleaned, boots purchased, and even the color of the lapels on their uniforms. Training schedules could be developed for each company sized unit, the numer of nails used on each horseshoe for the cavalry units can be part of the plannign phase .... maybe THAT would be enough detail in the logistics model to meet some of you guys' desires.
And don't forget the economies. We could even decide how each farmer spends his days. A turn would take about 100 years, but, what the heck, that's the name of the game.

I hope I'm kidding.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.

Sounds great to me! The more detail the better!
Can we also determine how frequently the noble ladies get their "happytime?" . . . Oh sorry, wrong game . . .
Can we also determine how frequently the noble ladies get their "happytime?" . . .
Not actually a bad call Seamus, as a Diplomatic element could well include, the Ladies for dynastic marriages and their Breeding capabilities ... or chance to do, so affecting the Royal houses/Nobility
Eg Eleanor of Aquitaine, St Louis of france denied her ‘Happytime’ and got no heirs and when he got rid of her she took half of france to the English crown and had at least 8 ‘Happytimes’ that included 2 future Kings of England.
Just as an aside while I think about it, dunno but it may be possible to build on FoFs ‘Governors’ to act as the fractious ‘Peers of the Realm’ so for eg England could have Governor types to represent say Percy of Northumberland (always Treacherous bastards) or Neville of Warwick (Greedy in the extreme even for those times) etc etc, Just a thought.
Another thought, if Mr Z is a happy bunny with all the info, just think of the joy Pixel pusher would have with all that Heraldry!
Aghhhh! gotta stop. I could go on & on about how good a 100 yrs war type setting could be.
PS, for those interested in the period I would strongly recommend Christopher Allmands ‘The Hundred Years War; England and France at war c 1300-c1450’ very fine detailed account also covering things like supply, recruitment, central organisation and lots, lots more, published by Cambridge University Press.
