The option for Invest is a little unclear (because it's missing a period in the middle?).

If it means the result is DP +5 and PP -50, I have no idea why anyone would pick it.

What am I missing?

IIRC it is the start of chain of events, but have to check it.

The result of the event, if you choose to invest the 50PP is the eventual possibility that you will get Iranian oil.
