same old game

Post by prinzeugen »

this version is same game with a different name and graphics..... it still sucks.... it has nothing to do with WW2... one example: rome is captured... the italian AI sends troops to france... romania is invaded, the romania AI sends troops to italy? this game is farce........ its sad that matrix game is trying to make money by renaming game that doesnt work.... just call it risk and be done with it

If you bought RtV then you were offered ToW for free, so you may treat it as a kind of patch, still imperfect (or maybe I should write it as good as was possible to achieve in given time) but it adds/improves/changes a lot of things.
it has nothing to do with WW2...

I understand that some inaccuracy may distract enjoyment of playing, but when we have large scale always some details stay behind... hopefully for a while, because thanks to players like you, those inaccuracies will also be addressed in following patches.

Hard to say it is a fair statement as this game is given for free to owners of RtV.
just call it risk and be done with it

Well many times it was called "beer& pretzel" game...

Anyway I encourage you to help us improve the game therefore we may direct towards a point of your satisfaction.

ok... well i played the Gotterdamerung senario... german with everybody else AI... this could have been an interesting game... germany's allies deserting one by one... Italy, romania, hungary... etc but all these countries fight on.... in fact you cant play this game with your allies as AI because the AI is so bad... they jump all over the map with no rhymn or reason... they dont even try to defend their own country even after half of it is over-run... instead they appear at random places on the map and force you to work around them... i ve played with all axis countries under human control too... they just fight on and on fight... if your game didnt crash so much... i could be more specific... the game crashes... and after attempting to load auto-save, it crashes again.... i dont expect your game to be "historically accurate".... i just expect it to have some relation to what it is portraying... not just alot of pretty colors moving around a map of europe

Allies should cease to fight once conquered, your case is weird...
Personnally I don't have many CTDs, and autosave work, but I concur that AI is sometime intriguing : I play the French in June'40, my AI Belgian allies are on the brink of surrender, yet are sending troops to garrison Strasbourg, and their Air Force is East of Paris ! [:D]
