Since the GOLD announcement has been made, and we count the hours, one might wonder what else can be accomplished in the same time span?


The Liberty ship Robert E Peary was built from keel to launch in 4 days and 15 hours.

I am sure not as many people had watched its' progress as we have watched the development of AE....

In 1969, Apollo 11 went from the launchpad to the surface of the moon in slightly under 4 days and 7 hours.
