Battle File Exchange

Post by gazfun »

Could some one tell me about the latest with battlefiles please.
2 players have just had a battle France VS Prussia.
Prussia initiated the attack, France withdrew successfully, there was exchange of battlefiles one initially went to the french player, returned the result of the French withdrawing, that battle file went back to the Prussia player.
The prussian Player reports that he has no file left in the battle folder to return back to the french player except the Land combat phase file.
is this the right sequence of events now?
thanks for any update on this

I think the game does not always cleanly remove battle files at the end of combat for the non-phasing player. However my understanding is that during the course of a battle, no changes are ever made to the non-phasing players save game so all he should need to do is delete the battle file (if there is one) and then load the game and the combat phase from the phasing player and all should be well.

In the scenario you defined, I think this is normal. Once the defender has successfully withdrawn, the attacker shouldn't have anything more to do with that battle (except seeing the results, which don't require a battle file to be sent back).
At LAST! The greatest campaign board game of all time is finally available for the PC. Can my old heart stand the strain?
