Turn 2, Day 1.

915th RGT/ 352nd INF DIV vs 231st BDE/ 50th British ID

I think the people of Crepon are in for a real shocker when they come home. This has the makings of one tuff fight coming up and one that surely could last the entire campaign with both sides having pretty good reserves. Bayeux will have to wait!

HAVE TAKEN POSITION IN CREPON TO CONTAIN ENEMY LEFT FLANK OF ADVANCE FROM ARROMANCHES-LES-BAINS. GOLD BEACH NOW VULNERABLE TO ATTACK FROM REAR. FURTHER ENEMY ADVANCE FROM CREPON SUCCESSFULLY BLOCKED. NEED ADDITIONAL UNITS TO MOVE TOWARD ARROMANCHES AS DEFENDING UNIT THERE IS NEARLY DEPLETED. ADVANCE FROM ENEMY RIGHT FLANK LIKELY WITHIN THE HOUR.

Turn 2, Day 1.

WN 43 / 716th INF DIV vs 69th BDE/ 50th British ID

With the 69th pulled out of the Gold Beach sector to support the drive into Crepon, their mission here was pretty simple. Secure this area as fast as possible and move inland!

Yeah, great job Southern Land.

Brevands.

Turn 3, Day 1

II./6th Fallschirmjager RGT vs 501st RGT/ 101st AB DIV

No reason to even post a picture here. Gained little to no ground. Lost at-gun to mortar fire. Lost way to many teams for maybe 2 german teams. Total butt kicking by the Germans!

Basically at this point until the armor arrives I will be content on just holding the bridge and keeping the II./6th pinned on the outskirts of Caretan. Then again maybe I will use 9 mortar teams and try attacking again! [:D]

Next map we crash with 8mins left. Sure be nice if there was a feature were host could still save the game (I could still click the truce button) somehow.

Re-play:

Special Note: We have now set overall game time to 20m (15m on beaches).

Turn 3, Day 1.

1058th RGT/ 91st INF DIV vs 505th RGT/ 82nd AB DIV

After doing much of the attacking these past few maps, its now time for the germans to go on the offensive and return the favor!

Turn 3, Day 1

1057th RGT/ 91st INF DIV vs 508th RGT/ 82nd AB DIV

This has been a uphill struggle since the poor drop location. We got a little help this battle as the Germans pressed so hard that their morale broke at the very end of the attack. Key ground was still lost however and the ground gained will do little to change the overall situation here.

Turn 3, Day 1

729th RGT/ 709th INF DIV vs 507th RGT/ 82nd AB DIV

Amazing how things can change on a map. The action has come to a crawl. Germans seem content on holding a defensive position with what they have left, 507th is basically just trying to secure the Pont L' Abbe road exit without taking to many casualties. Ive been brutalized by constant fire from afar over that exit point, so this time I tryed some indirect fire in a area I thought it might be coming from. Like battleship, after about 1/2 rounds from one mortar team I got a hit. Second mortar team was called in to finaly make the kill. Total luck, as I never saw the gun.

Turn 3, Day 1

WN 72/716th INF DIV vs 116th RGT/ 29th INF DIV

Back to the Omaha beaches and more headaches. It seemed the Germans had 20 teams on this map, I think actual number was closer to 6. Everywere I turned was a Mg going off and my men dropping like flys. Then add in the sound of cannon fire and more death and I was lucky I didnt lose area this time. Morale was at the breaking point at the very end.

Started off just great. I had 2 shermans positioned to attack one of the bunkers were I thought the at-gun might be. Sure enuff it was there. As I was retargeting the guns to it from indirect fire I hear a shell bounce off one of the tanks. Then next thing I hear, is bailing out. Ive seen odds facing bunkers and decided to get the other one out of there as fast as possible and I guess I got lucky because it survived. But it was really downhill after that. Some ground was taken but next battle doesnt look much easier. People that complain that the bunkers are useless I just wonder who you are playing? Ive found them to be impossible to deal with at distance and they seem to have incrediable field of fire.
