help! newbie in combat

I read in another topic about making called shots, how do you do this?

First you need a successful scan of the target (either yellow or green). Then you can only call shots with weapons which have a to hit chance of 80% or more. If these 2 conditions are met, the crosshairs in the upper left corner of the attack window will turn green. Click on it and select the desired bodypart. Keep in mind that each bodypart has its own called shot modifier, and that there's a range modifier too. The to hit chance of the eligible weapons will drop. Fire away. It's not guaranteed you'll hit the desired bodypart though. Read the manual and the guide for more details, it's all in there.
You cannot call shots with some weapons, namely missiles and the NB.
