New Aircraft Artwork

Post by TR Shrum »

Does anyone have the secret formula for adding aircraft Tops and Alphas? The sides are easy because of the "black border". When adding tops and alphas, is it just hit and miss so that they are aligned properly? What is the "bitmap size"? X pixels by X pixels. Again, trial and error? Thanks in advance for any help.

iirc it's 75x60 pixel areas for each aircraft.  The best way I found to modify the original WitP was to put a grid over the top art files and then paste in the new art stuff and recolour the grid lines to match the original background colour. [:)]

Dixie,

Thanks for the info.  Being an old architectural draftsman, the grid solution works great.  My simple mind can work with "grids."

Seems like you could add the grid with a new layer, then just make the layer transparant and merge down when you save. I assume that would accomplish the same thing?
