Ball Flight Locations

Post by ALB28 »

Hi all,

I just downloaded the free version of PureSim and would like to do a few Ballparks
for the game. I promise I will share them if they are decent.

I believe I know how to create .prk file for them but I would like to find the definitions
for the Ball Flight Locations. I tried Retrosheet, Google and this forum without any luck.

Thanks for any help in advance,
Alb

Thanks Crash,

I'll post the 1st ballpark here and maybe one of the members here can
give me some feedback. I'm a Tiger fan, so the 1st one will be Tiger Stadium.

Here is my first attempt at creating a prk file.

Get Tiger Stadium.prk here.

On most of the pictures I have to build up the area behind home
plate. My goal is to do a 1960's Stadium pack. I'm starting
my replay season with 1960.

I might have the pack done in a week or sooner.

Alb, I have a special request: there's a "painted park" version of Sportsman's Park (St Louis), and it would be great if you could do a ball-flight diagram of it. This one is perfectly suited for PS use, but of course needs to be re-sized. The image comes from ballparks.com:

(Note: this became known as "Busch Stadium" in 1953, so it will be in your upcoming 60s pack. Is this the pic you'll be using?)

Thanks, Don, that would work. The version I currently use is OK, but it's one of those generic pics that add no "flavor" to the in-game experience.

Here you go KG Erwin,

Sportsman Park 2

The reason it is named Sportsman Park 2 is that I already created
a Sportsman Park and will upload it early next week with a bunch of
other ballparks.

Hope this works for you,

ALb

Thanks,

I changed the link location for Tiger Stadium and Sportsman Park:

Mediafire Link

I also started a new topic on my Ballpark files.
