Loading troops question

Post by hbrsvl »

Hi-Scen. 1, 8/41 at SFO. I want to get Eng units out to PH & beyond. I created a Transport TF with xAP Pres. Taylor included.

Problem-when I hit "load troops" the only units available to load were air units. After messing around for awhile, including setting destination at PH, I changed her TF mission to Amphib. Lo and behold, I was able to load Eng. units.

Same problem at Seattle with AP U.S.Grant. Had to go to mission: Amphib to be able to load Eng. units.

But loading as Amphibs causes combat loading.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Hugh Browne

Not sure, but maybe the LCUs have to be in "strategic transport" mode or something before embarking ???

Correct. Regular Transport TFs only load troops in Strategic move mode. Amphib TFs only load troops in combat mode.

Cartain Cruft-They were both in a "combat Mode". Should they be in some other mode to load on a transport TF?

Thanks, HB
