Well i will play PBEM against Tree and i will post developments here[:)]

Any way i just lunched the game and watched historical 1st turn... to see what happens and im sad becouse PoW and Repulse are good as gone
here[:D] Will need to rethink my strategy. Tree told me 1st turn will take him few days so i have lots of time to think things through. Will post my "Golden" Thought's here[:)]

And BTW the game is 1st Real to start becouse i had Jap file in my in box from late Saturday[:D][:D][:D]

KB hit Pearl i was able to down few planes less then 10 i bet maybe some more damage were write off but i don't know for sure[:(] No midgets penetrated the harbor. Losses are heavy
BB Maryland , Pensylvania , California and Tennessee were all sunk by 800kg AP bombs!!!!![:@] The rest of the BB fleet is damaged and will require long shipyard time to be operational again. Wake was bombed but Wildcats were able to down one Nell. Intel is telling me some Nav Inf unit is on a transport heading for Tarawa... i will have to set a trap for this[:D]


PI/DEI/Malaya

A miracle happend[:D] Some Bufflos out of Singapore flew cover of the Force Z steaming to Singora and were able to chase away Jap bombers so Force Z is still in buissnes[&o][&o][&o] Now i need to think
if i should send it to Khota Baru to attack enemy ships unloading them or maybe should i fall back to Palambang and combine them with ABDA cruisers to hit enemy landing in Borneo that are sure to come[;)]
2 xAK's were sunk in Davao Harbor by Jap Carrier planes. Enemy Airfield attacks in the PI were lighter then expected and the USFAE and still i have 86 P-40's there so i plan do to as much damage to the Jap air force as possible[:D] Japs took Bataan Is this turn. Intel is telling me that some eng unit is preping for Mauban

I lost 2 BB's at Pearl as well. Though I'd rather lose 2 extra old, slow BB's at Pearl and keep PoW and Repulse, since IMHO the latter are far more useful. I really don't have a lot of use for the US BB's until SoDak and NthCarolina classes arrive around the time I'm starting to counterattack, at which point the old, slow battlewagons go to bombardment duty (just like historically).

Well its seteled Force Z will move back to Palambang and randevouz with Cruiser force from ABDA. Will create 2 surface Groups one around PoW and Repulse the other Around Huston and Exeter. Im not a Kamikaze type so no all or nothing operations.
From what i see Oz is low on Fuel so will evac as much from DEI as possible also i want to start supplying Singapore and Manila to make a stand there. As for Malaya i will try foward defense to slow down the japs as long as possible. I have a convoy at Karachi carrying some Australian units bound for Singapore but i think i will divert it to Rangoon. Australia has some weak brigades around so i think i will send like 2 of those to Port Moresby ASAP also i need to send some US units to Fidji and New Caledonia to secure a perimeter. No enemy landings made on Luzon yet so i don't know where they will land... As soon as Clark is repaired i will send all B-17's from the PI to bomb enemy airfields on Taiwan it will not help much but maybe he will divert some Fighters there to cover them. I China i plan nothing fancy i will stubbornly hold my lines to make a stalmate. If Japs land on Wake i will send a CV there to pay them a visit. Will send all Subs i have on Patrol to hunt enemy shipping.

Ok here is the pic of whats left of Pearl Harbor. As soon as Water is pumped out of Arizona and Oklahoma they will head to West Cost for Repairs. The WV and Nevada will fallow as soon as their engines will be repaired to give them speed of around 10 knots...

Prz ... hint .. make sure you put your priority damaged ships into the shipyard ... this will dramatically accelerate their readiness for an overseas trip. Basically their damage will be reduced down to the "major damage" only ... in a day or so. Then they can more safely make the trip .. .this assumes the damaged has been "patched" up sufficiently for such a trip. If you just let them sit in the port - they still might sink!

Tree knows all this - so my helping you a bit doesn't seem like cheating.

Well but PH shipyard has a capacity of 51k tons so i can put only one BB without overcrowding it[:(] so WV will go in first and the rest will be handled by repair ship:)

Ok spend 6 hours on doing turn one... and its off to the Japs... what i saw was a picture of Poverty and Despair especialy in India and Australia[:D] I think i don't want to know what a Improvised AFV is[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Any way PH attack was good for the japs as half of its shipyards are out of commision...[:@][:@] I should have a replay tomorrow morning so will write more:)

China/Burma/India

Some small air strikes in China by JAAF. Im planning a limited offensive on Inchang and Nanchang(?) maybe it will work in other areas i will try to build up a stable front[:)] I don't know what to do with India most units are tied to bases to garrison them[:(] and there are no forces avaliable to be send to Burma. I plan to defend Burma so i need to start shipping in Supply and Troops to Rangoon to be able to mount some defence. I will redirect 2 Brigades bound for Singapore to Rangoon and this should strenghten my forces to be able to mount some serious defense. The only thing i lack in Burma is AV support and as for now i don't know where to get it[:(]

PI/Malaya/DEI

Large Japanese naval force sighted off Northern Luzon... my B-17's attacked but were unable to score any hits[:(] 3 British DD's encountered a japanese Task force while fleeing HK and i made my first kill there DD Murasame in series of engagements only DD Thracian recived minor damage. I plan to use PT's based at Iba and Lingayen to harras enemy landing forces. Large Air Battle over Clark... my dumb fighters flew in from Manila to defend the base and lost 16 planes[:@][:@] Some xAK were sunk by Betties while fleeing HK. In Malaya enemy landing in Khota Bahru conitinues while JAAF bombers attack northern airfields but i was able to empty them. Enemy surface forces were sighted off Kuantan but Torpedo attacks were unsucessfoul... will try tommorow. I started moving supply from the DEI to Singapore and Fuel to Perth

Oz/SWPac

Nothing is happening here but i plan to send in 41st US Div to Numaea ASAP and send some Fuel from West Cost to Oz. I send some AP's to collect Aussie troops from Rabaul/Kaving maybe i will be able to pull out before japs show up.

Philippines

Enemy forces begun their landing on Luzon in Appari and Vigan. US Sub were active in the area and got off number of attacks. xAK Tyoko Maru and Kinryu Maru were reported sunk of Laong by US Subs.
The effectivness of torpedos is low i get like 3 dud's[:@] I plan to bomb Vigan using B-17's while P-40's from Manila will sweep the area intercepting any enemy fighters that come around[;)] I don't know how to plan my defence yet but Intel tell's me some units are planing for Lingayen... also i spotted some TF heading twards southern Luzon... I have 2 Philippino Divisions there so i think i may send them south and engage the japs landing there but i would like to keep em some more in the rest mode becouse they have some disabled troops. One thing pissed me DD Scout and Thracian hit enemy mines off Batan[:-][:-] Will hit Vigan Landing site with PT's[:@][:@][:D]

RAF torpedo bombers in Malaya were decaminated trying to hit enemy shipping of Khota Bahru. The base itself feel[:@] Enemy troops landed on Tarawa. KB is between Pearl and Midway.
