I think you're just playing too carefully.
As long as your just gonna sit on your hills and wait until I put some more fodder in the line of fire, then yes it's stalemate.
However, as the Germans probably have numerical superiority by now, never mind the bigger guns that actually kill stuff, I really don't see why you shouldn't try for a total victory (ie. no more sovs on the battlefield, not even a lone crew member.).
Don't worry about the casualties, they're only a bunch of pixels
