Mediterranean Opening Date?

Is the Med Opening Date (May 14th, 1943 - Manual, page 99) hard coded, or is this moddable? I can easily imagine "What-If" scenarios involving an early Italian exit...

Its moddable. This data is in one of the "zone" files. I forget which one right now.

Come to that, how do I edit the mapdata (pwhex??) file(s) anyway - no editor shipped with this release?

Is the Mediterranean scenario included in AE? I missed that.
