consolidated database clean-up thread

Post by ggm »

I thought a consolidated thread for data base inconsistencies should be made for those of us who want to modify the files before the first patch comes out:

p-36a is listed as amphibian aircraft - simply uncheck box to correct.

last bb penn upgrade dated listed as 3/54 should be 3/45. go to second last bb penn and change upgrade date.

80th jap inf reg # 3329 has 108 5.5" guns listed in oob should be squads change device 07 to device 707

beaverette AC load cost listed as 100 should be 10

there are two 75mm gmc halftracks in database (perhaps 1 for domestic usa use and 1 for lend lease)

load cost for 1 is 10 for the other is 20. recommend changing both to 10

Device 1684 12 cm Rocket has : range 5accuracy 14
but penetration 0effect 0( in witp, it was penetration 125, effect 55 )

device 1913 75mm type 98 aircraft cannon listed as allied, should be japanese.

Ship Class #171 and #172 Bangor Diesel Eng use the old 2pdr device (#76) instead of the new one (#1535) like the other Bangor classes.

Ship Class #2179 Shirataka uses the old Type 93 Mine device (#121) instead of the new one (#1712) like its upgrades do.

Ship Class #2122 Std-CT TK uses the old 13.2mm Type 93 AAMG device (#70) on the left side mount instead of the new one (#1683) like the rest of the mounts.

the Walrus II should have a Vickers K in the nose, not a Vickers V

hurrican xiib climb rate listed as 22450 should be 2245
hudson i climb rate listed as 12820 should be 1282

Aircraft ID 423 F4F-3 Wildcat has Drop Tank ranges defined but no DT devices.
should have 2 × 58 gal (220 L) f4f wiki
Aircraft ID 424 F4F-3P Wildcat has DT ranges defined but no DT devices.

Aircraft ID 609 A6M3 Zero has DTs and DT ranges for extended and normal, but no maximum.
Aircraft ID 722 P1Y3 Frances has DT ranges defined but no DT devices.

Aircraft ID 768 Ki-44 Tojo has DT ranges defined but no DT devices.
2x 317 lb (144 kg) drop tanks

Aircraft ID 838 has DT ranges defined but no DT devices.

Audax I light bomber (India's front line defender) has 2 * 20lb bombs default load and 4 * 20lb bombs for extended range. Should actually be 4 normal/default range and 2 extended

6769- 2nd /101 PA battalion 4X to many support -> delete 4 support

inconsistencies in game engines:

some minelayers have mine ammo listed under "ammo" others have ammo listed under "armor"

weapon systems inputed after anti submarine weapons are listed in database display under antisubmarine weapons, when in reality they are surface or AA weapons.
also weapons inputed after radars are displayed in the database display as EW weapons when in reality they are surface or aa weapons.

We're actually handling this in the team sticky threads - air issues in the air thread - navy issues in the navy thread - land issues in the land thread - that way the individuals responsible for these functions will be more likely to see them.

Joe,
I think ggm wants a thread where we players can share database do-it-yourself fixes while we wait for the first patch. I am collating a document of fixes I have done. You guys are handling it fine for the professional patch to be.

By the way, I think the error rate is quite small at this point for such an enormous undertaking. Good job guys.

chicken i would like to get a copy of your data base changes. In particular any drop tank data you have.
are drop tanks "generic" or does size count?

I have copied over JuanG's comments but I haven't gone into the database yet to see what can be done to implement them. Hope to get to it this weekend. I will send you what I have at that point.

I really enjoy what I see in this game, but I will definitely wait for the first patch before getting too deeply involved. For now I am just trying to learn all the new features.
